Kerbcraft, Cycle Training and Safer Routes to School.
Kerbcraft is a pilot scheme funded by the Department for Transport Road Safety Division as part of the Governments Road Safety strategy, Tomorrows Roads: Safer for Everyone.

The scheme is aimed at children, particularly those in deprived areas, teaching pedestrian training to age 5-7 years olds. Local authorities are selected for the scheme then offer practical road side training including the following 3 key skills:

1. Choosing safe places and routes
2. Crossing safely at parked cars
3. Crossing safely near junctions

In order to carry out safe and effective training appropriate clothing must be worn and below details what JBT Industrial Supplies Ltd are currently supplying.

We have 3 styles of Children's waistcoats suitable for Kerbcraft and also Cycle Training and Safer Routes to School, all high visibility yellow polyester waistcoats, designed in conjunction with county police authority:

1. Plain.

2. 1 x 50mm 3m reflective band to body.
3. 1 x 50mm band to body and 2 x 25mm braces.

Tabards and armbands are also available on request, as are other colours.
